Deloris M. Mayfield-Stuppy

Deloris M. Mayfield-Stuppy, 88, of Linton, Indiana, went to Heaven on Monday, October 24, 2016, surrounded by her loved ones at Glenburn Nursing Home in Linton. She was born on February 27, 1928 in Linton to Leslie and Dovie Pennilope (Hamlin) Baize. Deloris married Estelle C. Mayfield on April 12, 1945 and after his passing, she married George E. Stuppy on May 19, 1990.

Deloris attended the Coalmont Church of God and was a homemaker. She enjoyed taking care of her home and family.

Survivors include: five sons, Richard (Dorothy) Mayfield and Gary Mayfield, both of Linton, Michael Mayfield of Jasonville, Dale Mayfield of Mexia, TX and Estelle Mayfield, Jr. of Portsmouth, OH; two daughters, Gloria Sexton of Jasonville and Thresa (David) Bailey, of Linton; step-daughter, Polly (David) Lockhard of Coalmont; eight grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Winford (June) Baize of Mishawaka, Donnie (Faye) Baize of Dugger and sister-in-law, Sarah Baize of Linton.

Deloris was preceded in death by: her parents; her husbands, Estelle Mayfield and George Stuppy; granddaughter, Mary Ellen Mayfield; one sister, Delema Bedwell; two brothers, Robert and Billy Baize.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 11:00 AM on Friday, October 28, 2016 at Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton with Rev. Dick Smith officiating. Deloris will be laid to rest in K of P Cemetery in Hymera.

Family and friends may call from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday, October 27 and from 9:00 AM until the hour of service at 11:00 AM on Friday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Deloris to the charity of your choice.
