Hughie T. Fink

Hughie Thomas Fink, 81, of Linton, Indiana, went to Heaven peacefully, on Thursday, July 13, 2017, with his wife by his side. He was born on August 8, 1935 in Gary, Indiana to Carl and Kathleen (Leitzman) Fink. He married his wife, Ethel (Fisher) Moon Fink on May 25, 1991.

Hughie was a US Army veteran and attended the Linton Church of Christ. He was a member of the Dugger American Legion Post #224. Hughie was a maintenance worker at Greene County General Hospital until his retirement. He enjoyed working jigsaw puzzles.

Survivors include: his wife, Ethel Moon Fink of Linton; step-daughter, Ruth (James) Anderson of Jasonville; nine step-grandchildren; ten step-great-grandchildren; sister, Doris Ann Barron of Michigan; brothers, Harry Fink of Kansas, Glen Fink of Illinois, William Fink and Richard Fink of Texas.

Hughie was preceded in death by: his parents; two step-daughters, Ruby Houldson and Sandra Byers; three step-grandchildren; one step-great-grandchild; two brothers, Wayne and Conrad Fink and one sister, Betty Pierson.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 AM on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton with Bro. Pat Kelly and Bro. Jerry Carmichael officiating. Hughie will be laid to rest at Fairview Cemetery in Linton, following military graveside rites by the American Legion Post #224.

Family and friends may call from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Tuesday, July 18 and from 9:00 AM until the time of service at 10:30 AM on Wednesday at the funeral home.
