Joe Lee Howell

Joe Lee Howell, 74, of Linton, Indiana, went to Heaven peacefully on April 25, 2017 in Indianapolis. He was born on April 30, 1942 in Linton to John and Naomi (Shipman) Howell.

Joe was a retired US Air Force veteran with 20 years of service before his retirement in 1982. During his military career, he served in the Air Force Office of Special Investigation and the Armed Forces Courier Services in Tripoli, Libya, Thailand and Japan. Joe was a member of the Retired Air Force Office Special Investigation Association, American Legion Post #22, VFW Post #7118, Tennessee Squire Association and a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans.

Survivors include: one daughter, Holli L. (Brian) Goodman of Mooresville, IN; grandchildren, Brittany (Zac) Overton, of Bargersville, IN, Kyle (Cass) Goodman of Greenwood, IN and Karson Goodman, of Mooresville, IN; one brother, Marion (Martha) Howell of Linton.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Larry Howell.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 PM on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton with Pastor Dan Kemp officiating. A military service will follow at the funeral home. Joe will be laid to rest at Fairview Cemetery in Linton at a later date.

Family and friends may call from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM on Saturday at the funeral home.
