Maria 'Janie' Sharp Obituary

Maria Jane ‘Janie’ Sharp, 79, of Linton, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at Glenburn Nursing Home in Linton. She was born on May 1, 1944, in Louisville, Kentucky to Jack and Lucille (Carter) LeVold. Janie married Wayne ‘Harry’ Harris Sharp on June 15, 1966.

Janie was a retail clerk before retiring in 2010. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Family left to cherish the memory of Janie include: two daughters, Marnie (Bruce) Nowicki of Linton and Brandy (Tommy) Garris of Crestwood, Kentucky; grandchildren, Erik, Maggie, Mandi, Bryan, Olivia, Dallas and Trey; great-grandchildren, Josh, Molleigh, Clover, AJ, Wren, Charli, Jeremiah and Bobby.

Janie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wayne Sharp and daughter, Heidi Howell.

Honoring Janie’s wishes, she will be cremated, and a memorial service is planned for a later date.
