Carolyn 'Sue' (Blevens) Brookshire

Carolyn Sue Brookshire, 81, of Mooresville, Indiana, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at her home. She was born on December 6, 1937 in Dugger, Indiana to Edgar David and Addie Lucille (Johnson) Blevens. Sue married her loving husband, Darrell O. Brookshire on February 1, 1958.

Sue graduated from Dugger Union High School. She worked in the Decatur High School Cafeteria until her retirement in 1999. Sue enjoyed waterskiing, camping and traveling in their motorhome. She loved dogs and cats.

Family left to cherish the memory of Sue includes: her husband, Darrell Brookshire of Mooresville; one son, Steve O. Brookshire of Plainfield; one daughter, Darla (Scott) Inman of Mooresville; two grandsons, Brandon Cook of Indianapolis and Ryan Cook of Clayton; one granddaughter, Haley Albrechsen; four great-grandchildren, Madison, Austin, Daisy, and Sevend; one sister, Delores Wallace of Dugger.

Sue was preceded in death by: her parents; infant son, Steven Darrell Brookshire; daughter-in-law, Diana Brookshire and brother, Donnie Blevens.

Graveside services are scheduled for 11:00 AM on Friday, May 10, 2019 at Fairview Cemetery in Linton. There will be no public visitation.
