Donald C. Vest

Donald C. Vest, 83, of Linton, Indiana, passed away peacefully, on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at Bloomington, Indiana. He was born on April 9, 1934 in Greene County, Indiana to Claude and Ivy (Jackson) Cliver. He married his loving wife, Opal Marie (Cunningham) Vest on July 29, 1955.

Don was a graduate of Dugger Union High School with the Class of 1952. He retired in 1991 from the General Electric Linton Plant with 37 years of service.

Survivors include: his wife, Opal M. Vest of Linton; two sons, Michael L. (Rhea) Vest and Mark A. (Whitney Montgomery) Vest, both of Linton; four grandchildren, Lena (Dusty) Miller, Justin (Brittney) Vest, Danae and Jaxson Vest; five great-grandchildren; sister, Marilyn Charlton of Anderson, IN. His brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law were all his family too.

Don was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Audrey Hatfield.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at Anderson-Poindexter memory Chapel in Linton with Floyd Stone officiating. Don will be laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery in Linton.

Family and friends may call from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday, December 8 and from 9:00 AM until the hour of service at 11:00 AM on Saturday at the funeral home.
