Gregory Holder Obituary

Gregory A. Holder, 71, of Linton, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 in Linton. He was born in Linton on April 19, 1947 to William and Pauline (Denman) Holder.

Greg was a veteran of the United States Navy and the Vietnam War, serving from 1964 to 1969. Greg worked in sales most of his life and was also a chef. He loved to cook as well as spend time with his family and his friends. Greg had a love for watching all sports and could always be found assisting most ages with coaching, refereeing or score keeping and playing for local adult teams.

Survivors include: his daughter, Heidi (Robert) Kurz of Georgia; sister, Jeri Lynn Scoggins of Franklin, Georgia, formerly Marietta, Georgia; brother, Randy Holder of Gainesville, Georgia; four grandsons, Joshua, Nathan, Ryan and David; one great granddaughter, Evelyn and one great grandson, Ethan; niece, Sharon (Richard) Scoggins; nephews, Josh (Amanda) Scoggins and Jason Holder; great nephews that Greg loved dearly, Braeden and Trent Scoggins; one aunt, Jean Ann (Don) Pope; one uncle, Lyle (Willy) Sloan; cousins, Kathy Lawrence, Scott Pope, Fred Pope, Denise Sloan and Jeff Sloan; several close friends and his class mates from Linton High School Class of 1965.

Greg was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Dennis Henico and Jack Henico; brother-in-law, John Scoggins; aunts, Bonnie, Margaret, Jackie, Irene and Virginia.

Final arrangements are still pending.
