Jimmy Haldeman Obituary

Jimmy L. Haldeman, 86, of Linton, IN, passed from this life to spend eternity with Jesus on Wednesday, November 27, 2019, at his residence.  He was born in Linton, IN, on August 29, 1933, to Robert C. and Helen M. (Page) Haldeman. On April 10, 1955, he married Carol Y. (Brewer) Haldeman.  

Jimmy was US Army veteran, serving in the Korean War.  He was a truck driver for several years and thoroughly loved his job.  He worked for Peabody at the Dugger Mine for 10 years and then for Cramer Excavating until he retired in 2005.  He was a member of the Operating Engineers and the Teamsters Unions and attended the 12th Street Church of God in Linton.  

Family members left to cherish the memory of Jimmy include: his wife, Carol Haldeman; children: Michael Haldeman, Michelle Haldeman, and Monty (Kim) Haldeman, all of Linton; 8 grandchildren: Dr. Clayton Haldeman, Courtney (Bryce) Hunt, Nichole Haldeman, Jermey (Stacy) Haldeman, Elijah Haldeman, Elise (Ethan) Resler, Dustin Haldeman and Brook Haldeman; several grt. grandchildren; and a brother, Jerry Haldeman.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents.

A gathering of friends and family to honor Jimmy will be held on Monday, December 2, 2019, at the Meng Family Funeral Home / Anderson-Poindexter Chapel from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.  The service will begin at 1:00 PM, with Pastor Chris Ferguson officiating.  Jimmy will be laid to rest in Linton Fairview Cemetery.
