Lillian L (Rowe) McKee

Lillian L. McKee, 93, of Sandborn, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 19, 2017 in Vincennes. She was born on April 25, 1924 in Jasonville, Indiana to Lester and Lula Belle (Warren) Rowe. Lillian married Lyman D. McKee on August 24, 1946.

Lillian worked at the American National Bank in Sandborn for 20 years. She was a lifetime member of the Sandborn Baptist Church where she served as the pianist/organist for over 70 years. Lillian is a past Matron of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter #140. She was also the Valedictorian of the Sandborn Class of 1942 and was an avid reader in her spare time.

Survivors include: her daughters, Nyla (Jim) Johnson of Sandborn and Jill (Tim) Collins of Greensboro, NC; daughter-in-law, Kathy McKee of San Antonio, TX; seven grandchildren, Jon (Patti) McKee, Jay (Alisa) McKee, Scott (Tanya) Johnson, Eric Johnson, Ami (Danny) Moore, Shawna (David) Vair, and Adam (Courtney) McKim; seventeen great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Lillian was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lyman D. McKee; son, Jon Alan McKee, Sr.; brother, Arthur W. Rowe, Sr.; sister, Thelma Small and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 PM on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at the Sandborn Baptist Church in Sandborn with Pastors Mark Thompson and Tom Anderson officiating. Lillian will be laid to rest in Sandborn cemetery.

Family and friends may call from 11:00 AM until time of service at 1:00 PM on Tuesday at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to Good Samaritan Hospice. Envelopes will be available at the church.
