Mabel A. (Peltier) Blaker

Mabel A. Blaker, 94, of Spencer, IN, formerly of Bloomfield, passed from this life on Friday, October 20, 2017, at IU Health Bloomington. She was born in Linton on March 22, 1923, to Alfred and Jessie (Mayfield) Peltier. She married Charles W. Blaker on October 15, 1938.

Mabel was a homemaker and attended the Breath of Life Church.  She loved the Lord and attending church services.  Mabel truly enjoyed baking goodies for family and friends.

Survivors include: a daughter, Joyce McConnell of Bloomington; grandsons, Ryan McConnell and Rob (Ranee) McConnell, both of Bloomington, and Randy (Kristy) McConnell of Branson, MO; seven great grandchildren and one great-great grandson.  

Mabel was preceded in death by: her husband, Charles Blaker; her parents; three brothers, Ralph, Kenny and Ray Peltier.

Graveside services are scheduled for 1:00 PM on Friday, October 27, 2017, at Fairview Cemetery in Linton, with grandsons, Randy & Rob McConnell officiating.  

Family and friends may call from 11:00 AM until 12:30 PM on Friday, October 27 at the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton.

Memorial contributions may be made to Anderson-Poindexter Funeral Home to help the family with expenses. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
