Ronald Joseph Payton

Ronald Joseph Payton, 73, of Linton, Indiana, passed away surrounded by loved ones, on Friday, December 14, 2018 at Glenburn Nursing Home in Linton. He was born on June 2, 1945 in Dayton, Ohio to Joseph and Rosemary Leahey. He married his loving wife, Norma R. (Borders) Payton on February 16, 2002.

Ronald was a great lover of the outdoors and enjoyed going fishing whenever he could. He had worked at Borden’s Dairy Company in maintenance and as a mechanic for many years before his retirement.

Family left to cherish the memory of Ronald are: his wife, Norma Payton; step-son, David (Michele) Pearson, Jr. of Linton; two step-grandsons, Jeremy and Justin Pearson; one brother, Larry (Becky) Payton of The Colony, TX; four sisters, Darlene Wimmers of Lakeview, OH, Cheryl (Rick) Shirtzinger of Savannah, GA, Mary-lynn Presser of Huntsville, OH and Kathy Buckley of Houston, TX.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, John and David.

Following Ronald’s wishes of cremation, there will be no visitation or funeral service. He will be laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery in Linton at a later date.
