Ruth Ann (Harris) Mortland

Ruth Ann (Harris) Mortland, 76, of Sandborn, Indiana, went to Heaven, surrounded by her family, on Saturday, August 11, 2018 in Vincennes, Indiana. She was born in Linton, Indiana on October 4, 1941, the daughter of James C. and Edith M.(Williams) Harris. On December 31 of 1971, Ruth Ann married Richard Mortland.

Ruth Ann was a homemaker and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of Sandborn First Christian Church.  She will be greatly missed and remembered with love by her family and friends.

Survivors include: her husband, Richard Mortland; her sons, Randy (Cheri) Koenig of Sandborn, Mark (John) Mortland of Dallas, TX, Mike Mortland of Everett, WA, Jeffery Mortland of Linton; daughters, Rita (Jim) Dale of Sandborn, Jolene (Steve) Bryant of Sandborn; grandchildren, Leslie Dale, Justin (Stephanie) Dale, Jonathan Koenig, Madison Koenig, Mathew Bryant, Andrew Bryant, Lauren Mortland and one great-granddaughter, Emily; two brothers, Ruben C. (Clara Ann) Harris and Ralph D. (Elizabeth) Harris also survive.

Ruth Ann was preceded in death by her parents, and one sister, Reba Nell Harris.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 16th, 2018 at Meng Family Funeral Home, Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton with Pastor Bryan Sanders officiating. Ruth Ann will be laid to rest in the Sandborn Cemetery.

Family and friends may call from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, August 15th and from 9:00 AM until the hour of service at 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 16th at the funeral home.
