Agnes J. Miller, 93, of Linton, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born on June 30, 1924 in Linton to George Washington and Ada Marie (Bates) Stanton. Agnes became Mrs. Wendell E. Miller on July 17, 1944.

Agnes was a member of the Ft. Myers Beach United Methodist Church. She had a teaching degree from Vincennes University and taught school at Pleasantville before starting her career as a Micro-Biologist, retiring in 1979 from Pillsbury in New Albany. Agnes enjoyed reading, working crossword puzzles, traveling, and especially the time spent with her family.

Survivors include: two daughters, Linda (Michael) Potts of Tulsa, OK and Juanice (Richard) Ball of Cape Coral, FL; one grandchild, Shannon Franco of Tulsa, OK; one great-grandchild, Nick Franco of Tulsa, OK; one brother, Garland (Margaret) Stanton of Dugger and one sister, Georgia Roberts of Linton.

Agnes was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, Wendell Miller; two brothers, Dale Stanton and Dillard Stanton; two sisters, Eunice Juggan and Eileen Walls.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 AM on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton with Brother Buford Smith officiating. Agnes will be laid to rest in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Lyons.

Family and friends may call from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Monday, September 18 and from 9:00 AM until the time of service at 10:00 AM on Tuesday at the funeral home.
