Alberta I. Eaton, 86, of Sierra Vista, Arizona, passed away Friday, October 19, 2007 at Life Care Center of Sierra Vista. Born in Midland, IN, on Jan. 22, 1921, she was the daughter of Albert and Bessie (Honn Haberly) Scoggan. She retired from Fort Huachuca in 1981 with 22 years in civil service for the U.S. Army as a secretary.

She received many commendations and plaques for her meritorious service during her eight years as a secretary and administrative assistant.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews.

Alberta was preceded in death by her parents.

Graveside services will be 10:30 AM, Saturday, October 27, 2007 at Fairview Cemetery in Linton with Bro. Jerry Carmichael officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton.
