Alexander Thomas 'Tom' Wilson, 71 of Linton, Indiana, met his Eternal Savior while surrounded by his family on Monday, September 14, 2015. He was born on May 11, 1944 in Bloomington, Indiana to Elsa Kelley. Tom married Sandy Beaupain on February 13, 1970. They spent 45 wonderful years together.
Tom was a proud US Army veteran, a member of the Lawton Street Christian Church in Jasonville, and a former member of the Linton Church of Christ. He was employed as a Locksmith at Crane with 30 years of service, retiring in 1998, and later worked with Twin Rivers Building Trades. Tom enjoyed gardening and the outdoors, watching his grandchildren in extra-curricular activities, coaching Linton Girls' Softball League, coaching Linton Boy's Little League, and was an avid Linton Miner Football Fan.
Tom is survived by: his wife, Sandy Wilson; one son, Jeff (Jennifer) Wilson; one daughter, Amy Wilson Wadhwan; four grandchildren, Alex Wilson, Olivia Wilson, Jaden Wadhwan, and Jovie Wilson, all of Linton; one sister, Patty (Domenic) Pinto of Ohio; one brother, Joe (Mary Lou) Wilson of Linton, and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding Tom in death were his mother, brother Danny Kelley and sister Erma Kelley.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, September 17, 2015 at Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton, with Mark Messmer and Bro. Jerry Carmichael officiating. Tom will be laid to rest in Lebanon Cemetery in Midland with full military honors.
Family and friends may call from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, September 16, and from 9:00 A.M. until the hour of service at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday at the funeral home.
The family has requested that memorial contributions be made in Tom's memory to God's Safe Haven, 115 West Main St., Jasonville, IN 47438. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
