Anita L. Swaby, 78, of Linton, Indiana, went to Heaven peacefully with her family by her side on Wednesday, April 15, 2015. She was born in Greene County, Indiana on March 13, 1937 to Bud and Tressa (McDonald) English.
Anita was a member of Providence Baptist Church. She was a charter member of Blessed Hope Baptist Church and she graciously opened up her home when the church was founded for services to be held. Anita was employed as an accountant for David Sisk before her retirement.
Survivors include: two sons, Keith A. (Missy) Swaby of Covington, IN and Scott A. Swaby of Jasonville; 6 grandchildren, Kyle (Lexi) Swaby, Emily Swaby, Edie (Jim) Gregoire, Courtney (Mark) Pierce, Megan Swaby and Dylan Swaby; 8 great-grandchildren; one brother, Charles (Donna) English of Linton and one sister, Carolyn Sue (Jack) Sluder of Coalmont.
Anita was preceded in death by: her parents; one brother, Donald English and two sisters, Kathleen Stephens and Phyllis English.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 1:00 PM on Monday, April 20, 2015 at Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton with Pastor Darren McDonald officiating. Anita will be laid to rest at Lebanon Cemetery in Midland, Indiana.
Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM.
