Ann L. Thomas, 63, of Linton, Indiana, passed away Monday, February 11, 2008, at St. Mary's Hospital in Evansville. Born in Huntington, West Virginia on May 5, 1944, she was the daughter of William and Elsie May (Watts) Smith. She married Charles E. Thomas on July 5, 1974.
She was a homemaker and also worked at Woods Wire in Worthington. She attended the Baptist church.
Survivors include two daughters, Pam (Ronald) Trent of Whiting, IN and Brenda (Todd) Bennett of Linton; five sons, Glen (Darla) Damron, Tim (Renee') Damron both of Linton, Jeff (Jennifer) Damron of Jasonville, Roger Damron and William Thomas both of Linton; thirteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. She was also survived by three brothers, Roy (Betty) Smith of Griffith, Ira (Polly) Smith of Jasonville and Ricky (Marie) Smith of Dugger; two sisters, Stella (Ed) McCann of Trion, Georgia and Oma Lee Smith of Vincennes.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charles E. Thomas on March 27, 2007, and one brother, Gene Smith.
Friends may call at the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, February 13, 2008 and from 9:00 AM on Thursday, February 14, 2008 until the hour of service. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 AM Thursday, February 14, 2008, with Rev. Warren Allen officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Linton, Indiana.
