Atta Ruth Stoelting, 92, of Westphalia, Indiana passed away Tuesday, January 9, 2007 at Lyons Health and Living Center in Lyons. Born in Vincennes, Indiana, on July 3rd, 1914, she was the daughter of Wm. Jefferson and Rhoda Jane (Edmondson) Thomas. On August 20, 1934 she married Eric Wm. Stoelting. Atta worked at crane and was also a homemaker. She was a member of the Salem United Church of Chirst in Westphalia, Indiana.

Survivors include her two sons; Dallas Stoelting of Terre Haute, Richard Stoelting of Bloomfield, daughter; Marquetta Richardson of Indianapolis, six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. Atta was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; Eric Wm. Stoelting, one daughter; Rita June, four sisters, and four brothers.

Friends may call at Salem United Church of Christ from 12:00 to 1:00 PM CST (Vincennes time) Saturday, January 13, 2007. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2007 at 1:00 PM CST with Rev. Peter Haskins officiating. Burial will follow at Salen UCC Cemetery in Westphalia, Indiana.
