Bernice Marie Denman, 87, of Linton, IN, entered into eternal rest surrounded by her children, Friday, October 4, 2013. She was born on January 5, 1926, to Ignatius and Adeline (Wettstein) Sowka. On August 4, 1947, she married Dale R. Denman.

Bernice was a homemaker and wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, who loved spending time with her family. She put her faith in God, made her house a home, and welcomed all who entered. Bernice was a member of the Linton Assembly of God Church. There are no words that can adequately describe her kindness and faithfulness, nor how much she did in her lifetime for others.

Survivors include her son, Ralph S. (Jeanine) Denman of Dugger; daughters: Bette J. (Jim) Meng and Sharon K. (Jeff) Sparks both of Linton; a step- daughter, Barbara Jean Utley of Chicago; a daughter-in-law, Becky Denman of Linton; Grandchildren: Dale A. (Amber) Denman, Jr., of Plainfield, Jenna (Nathan) Brown, Bryant Meng, and Shane Denman all of Linton, Josh (Erin) Hardesty of Dugger, Jarrod (Ashley) Pope of CT, Cindy Hermes of WI, Sally Peterson of NE, Becky Anstee and Abby Arceo both of Chicago; 24 grt-grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Jack Wolfe and several nieces and nephews.

Bernice was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Dale R., twin sons, Dale A. and Darwin A. Denman, one brother, Nicholas Savian, two sisters, Joanie Sowka and Betty Wolfe, one granddaughter, a grt-grandson, and a nephew.

Contributions may be made to the Linton Assembly of God in memory of Bernice.

Funeral services will begin at 11:00 AM on Monday, October 7, 2013, with Rev. Arlice Roberts officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Linton.

Friends may call at the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Sunday, October 6th, 2013. Calling will continue on Monday, October 7th, 2013, from 9:00 AM until the hour of service.
