Bertha Marie (Weber) Stodghill-Hoffman, 90, of Terre Haute, IN went to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday, October 5, 2011, she was surrounded by her loving family. Bertha was born on April 22, 1921 in Clifton (South Newport), KY to Walter and Edna Weber.

Bertha was a beautiful woman, Mother and friend. Her employment included office manager of the church office and at an insurance agency. She enjoyed walking, swimming, biking, crafting, working puzzles and exercising every day. She was an avid bowler and loved to watch it as well. Bertha loved to garden and enjoyed all kinds of games. She loved volunteering at the hospital, crafting and teaching her family. Bertha brought a sense of humor and friendliness to every situation she was in, and she truly touched the lives of so many people who needed a smile or a kind word. She will be forever missed by her family and friends. She loved the Lord, God and made sure that her four children were brought up to know and love Him also. Bertha was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church.

Bertha is survived by two daughters, Judith and William Meng of Terre Haute, and Nancy and Ballard Morgan of Lexington, KY; one son, Herbert and Susan Stoghill of Florence, KY; one brother, Walt Weber of Edgewood, KY; one sister, Freda Boyd of Cincinnati, OH; nine grandchildren, Debbie (Dan) English, Ben (Denise) Meng, Tammie Fox, Bob Fox, Kitty Fox, Duston (Angie) Stodghill, Jennie Stodghill, Heather (Andy) Filson and Chip Schank; ten great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.

Bertha was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, four sisters and a son, Ronald Stodghill.

The family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the Southern Care Hospice. Envelopes will be available at the Graveside service.

There will be no public visitation. A family gathering will be held at the Chapel on the Hill at Highland Lawn Cemetery in Terre Haute, IN on Friday, October 7, 2011 at 2:00 pm with William Meng officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Lawn Cemetery.

The family has entrusted Anderson-Poindexter Dugger Chapel in Dugger, IN with all funeral arrangements.
