Beryl B. Bledsoe Jr, 83, of Freelandville, IN, passed away on Friday, January 4, 2013 in Vincennes. He was born in Linton, Indiana, on February 25, 1929, to Beryl and Bessie (Haynes) Bledsoe. On July 22, 1953 he married Doris Mann in Angola, Indiana. They were married for fifty-nine years.
Beryl was a truck driver for Miller Construction and was a Maintenance & Custodian worker for Citizens National and Regions Banks before retiring in 2005. He was a member of the American Legion Post 22 in Linton and was a Korean War Veteran in the US Army.
Survivors include his wife, Doris Bledsoe; sons, Wesley Bledsoe of Linden, TN, Byron Bledsoe of St. Paul, MN and David Clark of Linden, TN; daughters, Marla Cadaera of Detroit, MI, Brenda Lash and Rebecca Cook of Sandborn, IN, Doris Snover of Linden, TN, Janet Bledsoe and Luann Bledsoe, both of Sandborn, IN; and sister, Grace Poyma of Sterling Heights, MI and 13 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Beryl was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Betty.
In Lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Anderson-Poindexter Funeral Home in memory of Beryl.
Graveside services with military rites will be held at 3:00 PM on Monday, January 7, 2013, at the Antioch Cemetery in Dugger with Bryan Sanders officiating. Interment will follow at the cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday, January 7, 2013 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton, IN.
