Betty L. Brinson, 86, of Jasonville, IN, and formerly of Linton, IN passed away, Sunday, July 15, 2012, at Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Jasonville, IN. She was born on May 28, 1926 in Sandborn, IN to Elmer and Mamie (Berry) Sanders. On December 12, 1942, Betty married Robert L. Brinson and they had two sons.

Betty had been a Beautician in Marco, IN before working at the Naval Surface Warfare Center in Crane, IN, where she retired in 1976. She was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.

Betty is survived by her grandson: Jay (Jamey) Brinson; granddaughter: Shawn (Bradley) Hughes; great-grandchildren: Brennan, Nolan, Kristen, Anthony, Logan and Mercedes; and great-great-granddaughter: Sophie.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bob L. Brinson (August 4, 1999); two sons: Donnie and Lonnie Brinson; one granddaughter: Jacinda; two sisters: Thelma Hart and Kate Brinson; and one brother: Bud Sanders.

The family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the Scotland Cemetery, with envelopes available at the funeral home.

Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, July 19, 2012, at 10:00 am at the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton, IN with Pastor Rose Sparks officiating. Interment will follow at the Scotland Cemetery in Scotland, IN.

Visitation hours will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton.
