Obituary

Betty J. Hale, 91 of Linton, Indiana passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on Thursday, June 5, 2014 at Regional Hospital in Terre Haute. Born on June 3, 1923 in Worthington, Indiana, Betty was the daughter of Kenneth D. and Gladys M. (Dickey) Kruger. She was married to Ernest M. Hale in May 16, 1942.

Betty was a member of the Linton First Christian Church, Prime Timers, Berean Sunday School Class and Tri Kappa. She was a Homemaker and worked as a Bank Teller at Worthington State Bank for 34 years before retiring in 1979. Betty enjoyed her hobbies of making crafts and her specialty, baking.

Survivors include: one daughter, Judy (Bill) Hinrichsen of Westmoreland, KS; one son, Tim (Cindy) Hale of Linton; five grandsons, Ron (Lynne) Hinrichsen, Neil (Mandy) Hinrichsen, Shannon (Amanda) Hale, Adam (Acey) Deiwert and Craig (Megan) Deiwert and 8 great-grandchildren, Cale, Eva, Elias, Egann, Elery, Jackson, Brendan and Blake.

Betty was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, Ernest M. Hale and one brother, Kermit Kruger.

For those who wish, the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the Linton First Christian Church Building Fund. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, June 9, 2014 at the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel with Archie Ellett officiating. Interment will follow at the Worthington Cemetery.

Family and friends may call at the funeral home from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Sunday, June 8 and from 9:00 AM until the time of service on Monday, June 9.
