Betty Ann Jackson, 76, of Linton, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, February 12, 2011, at her residence in Linton. Born in Rushville, Indiana on October 25, 1934, she was the daughter of Violet L. (King). She was married on February 11, 1955 to Richard L. Jackson, who passed away on June 7, 1993.

Betty was a long time custodian at the Linton First Christian Church and also worked at Goosepond Pizza.

Surviving family includes a granddaughter, Michelle (Travis) Scales of Linton and two great-grandchildren, Tyler and Makayla Scales.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a daughter, Kim who passed away on July 7, 1984.

Memorial contributions in memory of Betty may be made to the American Cancer Society, with envelopes available at the church.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at the Linton First Christian Church with Warren Shake officiating. Friends may call at the Linton First Christian Church on Wednesday from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at the Asbury Cemetery, Morristown, IN later that same day.

The family has entrusted Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel with the arrangements.
