Betty J. Keller French, 92, of Linton, Indiana, went to Heaven peacefully, surrounded by her family at Glenburn Nursing Home in Linton, on Tuesday, February 7, 2017. She was born on October 13, 1924 in Linton to Ben and Clara (Bowen) Lacer. She married Don Keller, Jr. and after his passing, she married Floyd French, Jr.
Betty was a member of the Linton Church of God and Order of Eastern Star Columbian Chapter #140. She worked at Crane as a food service worker and at Jim's IGA before retiring in 1994.
Survivors include: three sons, Don (Barbara) Keller, John Ben (Pauletta) Keller, Bill (Meleah) Keller, all of Linton; daughter, Scarlett (Bob) Barker of Linton; daughter-in-law, Louise Lacer of Spencer; step-sons, Steve (Pat) French and Mike French, both of Jasonville and Kenny (Nance) French of Linton; ten grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Betty was preceded in death by: her parents; her first husband, Don Keller, Jr.; second husband, Floyd French, Jr.; son, Tom Lacer; grandson, Kenneth Keller and brother, Bill Lacer.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton with Chris Gehring officiating. Betty will be laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery in Linton.
Family and friends may call from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday, February 10 and from 9:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM on Saturday at the funeral home. The Eastern Star Columbian Chapter #140 will conduct a memorial service on Friday at 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Glenburn Alzheimer Unit in memory of Betty. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
