Bradley Alan Baker, 49, of Linton, Indiana, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Wednesday, August 5, 2015 in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was born on May 13, 1966 in Linton to Marlin and Judy (Cornelius) Baker. Brad married Deena Carlton on February 15, 2000.
Brad was employed for 19 years with the State Highway and then the past 9 years with the Indiana Railroad. He also worked for his Grandpa Baker in his shop, Baker Radiator. Brad like to work in his garage, enjoyed NASCAR racing, camping and hanging out with his friends.
Survivors include: his wife, Deena L. Baker; one son, Trent (Kendra) Mihlfeld of Linton; two daughters, Heather Piatt of Alabama and Leah (Chris) Hubbell of Sullivan; grandchildren, Brianna Tannehill, Brayson Piatt, Wyatt and Colton Hubbell and Ryder Mihlfeld; his parents, Marlin and Judy Baker of Linton; one brother, Jim (Mary) Baker of Linton; two nephews, Cody (Paige) Sullivan and Travis Blackwell; sister-in-law, Trisha (Becky) Carlton of Zionsville, IN; mother-in-law, Linda (Bill) Beck of Shelbyville; father-in-law, Gene (Patty) Carlton of Morristown, IN; uncle, Steve (Diana) Cornelius and aunt, Rebecca Baker.
Brad was preceded in death by: paternal grandparents, James and Rosemary Baker; maternal grandparents, Ray Cornelius, Mary and Arthur Christy; grandparents-in-law, Juanita and Johnny Nigh, Elmer and Florence Carlton.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 1:30 PM on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton with Rev. Jim Sanders officiating. Brad will be laid to rest in the Fairview Cemetery in Linton.
Family and friends may call at the funeral home from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday, August 7 and from 11:00 AM until time of service at 1:30 PM on Saturday.
Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Brad to the Linton Fire Department or the American Cancer Society. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
