Carol A. Brinson, 57, of Linton, passed away on Wednesday, February 17, 2010, at Terre Haute, Indiana. She was born on November 3, 1952, in Linton, Indiana, to John (Jim) and Betty (May) West. She married Lonnie Brinson on August 12, 1988.

Carol was the Treasurer of Linton-Stockton School Corporation for eighteen years. She enjoyed reading books and playing Texas Holdem.

Survivors include her mother, Betty West; her husband, Lonnie Brinson; one daughter, Dr. Marci Gaither of Pittsburgh, PA; one brother, Terry (Kathie) West of Indianapolis and one sister, Sherri (Paul) DeJong of Hokes Bluff, AL.

Carol was preceded in death by her father, Jim West.

The family has requested that memorial contributions be made to Greene County Humane Society.

Friends may call at the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, February 19, 2010. Visitation will continue from 9:00 AM until the hour of service on Saturday, February 20, 2010. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 AM with Brother Nick Moore officiating. The family is following Carol's wishes with cremation.
