Obituary

Carmen Lorenzo, 92, of Linton, Indiana, passed away Monday, September 19, 2011, at Greene County General Hospital in Linton. She was born in Dawson, New Mexico, on January 12, 1919 to Louis and Ida (Atoneilli) Musilli. Carmen married Louis Lorenzo on June 23, 1946.

Carmen was a homemaker and a member of the St. Peter Catholic Church. She was also a lifetime member of the VFW Post of Raton, NM.

Survivors include two sons, John (Linda) Lorenzo of Marion, IL, Sylvester (Sally) DiLorenzo of Linton; six grandchildren, John Paul DiLorenzo, Jennifer (Frank) Solis, Micah Culbreth, Samantha (Brandon) Flath, Christine (Tim) Riggleman, Anthony (Lindsey) DiLorenzo; 8 great-grandchildren, Hayden and Haylea Flath, Gabbi DiLorenzo, Taylor, Ayden and Ava Riggleman, Luca Solis, Drake Culbreth and anxiously awaiting Baby DiLorenzo. She is also survived by two nieces and aunts and uncles.

Carmen was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Louis Lorenzo (Jan. 15, 2000); one brother, John Musilli and her twin sister, Christine Paulich.

Friends may call at the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, September 21, 2011. A Recital of the Rosary and Prayer Service will be held at 7:30 pm on Wednesday. Interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Raton, NM.

Visitation will be held at the Yaksick-Long Funeral Home, 1310 S. Second St., Raton, NM 87740, on Saturday, September 24, 2011 from 11:00 am - 1:30 pm. A Graveside Service will follow on Saturday at 2:00 pm at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Raton, NM.
