Carol L. Myers, 57, of Bloomfield, Indiana, passed away Sunday, August 28, 2011, at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, Indiana. She was born on June 25, 1954, in Madisonville, Kentucky, to Alvin Word and Nancy N. (Padgett) Miller. Carol was raised and loved by Edward Eldon Miller. She married Stanley D. Myers in June 1989.

Carol worked for Southern Care Hospice as a Health Care Provider. She was a member of the Olive Branch Baptist Church and her hobbies included flower gardening, crocheting, sewing, taking pictures, scrapbooking and she loved her family time.

Survivors include her husband, Stan Myers; sons, Eddie Turpin, Paul Turpin, Kyle (Danielle) Myers, all of Linton; 8 grandchildren, Jesika, Damian, Taryn, Cameron, Hunter T., Hunter M., Addie and Baby Myers; sisters, Joyce (Jack) Busenburg and Dona (Sam) Templeton, both of Switz City; and brother, Dwight (Linda) Word of Bloomfield.

Carol was preceded in death by her mother, Nancy Miller and father by choice, Edward Eldon Miller.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton with Shawn Farris officiating. Burial will follow at the Fairview Cemetery in Linton, IN. Friends may call from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday and from 9:00 am until the hour of service on Wednesday.
