Carroll J. Horne, 53, of Linton, IN, passed from this life peacefully, surrounded by family members, on January 19, 2019, in Indianapolis. She was born in Greencastle, IN, on May 20th, 1965, the daughter of John and Janice E. (Slover) Neal.  She became the wife of Kelly Horne on December 19, 2014.

Carroll was a homemaker.  She enjoyed gardening and canning, crafting and primitive decorating. Carroll loved her animals and cared for them with pride and joy. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandma, who will be missed by all who knew her.

Carroll was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.

Family members left to cherish Carroll's memory include:  her husband, Kelly;  two daughters, Kasi (David) Shaw of Linton and Tylar (Tom) Parlette of Columbus; six grandchildren: Kendra, Kinsey, Jackson, Jacob, Liam and Lennox; one brother, Andy (Susan) Neal of Linton; two nieces, Savanna and Aubrey.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM on Wednesday, January 23, 2019, at Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton, IN, with Dr. Doug Cassel, Pastor officiating. Carroll will be laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery.

Family and friends may call from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Tuesday, January 22, and from 9:00 AM until the hour of service at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Carroll to the Greene County Humane Society.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
