Charles 'Charlie' R. Carr, 62, of Linton, Indiana, passed away Monday, October 11, 2010, at Union Hospital, in Terre Haute, Indiana. He was born February 22, 1948, to Richard L. and Mary P. (Hancock) Carr.

Charlie was employed with Soo Line Railroad for 37 years, retiring in 2006. He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose.

Survivors include one brother, Richard L. Carr of Linton; one sister, Ruth (Robert) Jerrell of Linton; two nieces, Mary Lynn (Robert) House of Dugger and Tammy Jo (Johnny) Hale of Pleasantville; one great niece, Megan House of Dugger and two great-nephews, Taylor House of Dugger and Luke Hale of Pleasantville.

Charlie was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends may call at the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, October 14, 2010 and on Friday from 9:00 AM until the hour of service. The funeral service will begin at 10:00 AM on Friday, October 15, 2010 with Rev. Dick Smith officiating. Interment will follow at the Sassafras Cemetery in Linton, IN.
