Charley O. Hart, 95, of Worthington, IN, passed away Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at the VA Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. He was born in Odon, IN, on December 1, 1915, to John and Girtha (McFarland) Hart. Charley married Thelma E. (Sanders) on June 27, 1940 and they had one daughter.

Charley served in the US Army during World War II. He was employed as a Bookkeeper for Owen Co. Highway Department, he was a Park Ranger at McCormick's State Park and also worked as a store room clerk for Indiana University for 17 years. Charley retired in 1987.

Survivors include one daughter, Nancy Hart of Worthington, IN; grandson, Brad (Nicolle) Shelton of Worthington; and great-granddaughters, Aliyah Jolii and Briiannah Elizabeth Shelton.

Charley was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Thelma Hart, March 7, 2003; and three sisters.

The family is following Charley's wishes with cremation. There will be no public viewing or funeral services.
