Charlotte A. Phillips, 73, of Linton, passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2009, at her residence. Born in Greene Co., Indiana, on January 12, 1936, to Opal Marshall. She married Joseph Phillips, Jr. on August 31, 1954 and they had two daughters.

She worked for RCA in Bloomington, retiring in 1982.

Survivors include her daughters, Catherine Sue (James Robert) Gibson of Greenwood and Angelena (Randy Joe) Bedwell of Jasonville; five grandchildren, James R. (Brandy) Gibson, Amanda L. Bedwell, Megan R. (Lee) Jerrell, Gina N. Gibson and Nicholas S. Bedwell; five great-grandchildren; two brothers, John Stropes of Minnesota and Danny Stropes of Lawrenceburg, IN and one sister, Vicki Stropes Love of Indianapolis.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her mother, her husband Joseph (April 26, 1981) and one sister, Pamela Greer.

Friends may call at the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, May 8, 2009 and from 11:00 AM until the time of service on Saturday, May 9, 2009. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM at the funeral home with Bryan Sanders officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Linton.
