Claude J. Fulford, 74, of Sullivan, Indiana, and formerly of Linton, passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2007, at Sullivan Co. Community Hospital in Sullivan. Born in Greene County, Indiana, on September 11, 1932, he was the son of Fred H. and Alta Laverne (Beal) Fulford. He married Margie M. Spear on November 10, 1956. Claude was a veteran of the US Army and served in the Korean War. He worked as a farmer and later at the Sunbeam Plant in Linton, retiring in 1994. Claude was a member of the Lyons Community Church.
Survivors include three sons: Larry D. (Mary) Fulford and Terry G. (Diana) Fulford both of Linton and Tony E. (Candelaria) Fulford of Bloomfield. Also surviving are four brothers: Owen Fulford and Ralph Fulford of Linton, Richard Fulford of Arizona and Ted Fulford of Lyons, and one sister Dorothy Glaspie of Indianapolis.
Claude was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Margie M. Fulford (March 18, 2006), two brothers: Robert Fulford and a twin, Clyde J. Fulford.
Friends may call at Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel from 4:00 to 8:00 PM, Friday, April 6, 2007. Graveside services will be held at Prairie Chapel Cemetery on Saturday, April 7th, 2007, at 11:00 AM with Rev. Kirk Brown officiating. American Legion Post #22 will conduct full military honors and burial will follow.
