Clyde E. Hostetter, 75, of Lyons, IN, passed away on Friday, January 24, 2014, at his residence. He was born in Marco, IN, on August 23, 1938, to Clyde Landis and Thelma E. (Ausman) Hostetter. On September 5, 1959, Clyde took Karen L. Fidler to be his wife.

Clyde served in the US National Guard and he was a member of the Marco United Methodist Church. He made his living as a farmer and retired in 2007. Clyde's hobbies included flying powered parachutes, water skiing, boating, camping and enjoying life.

Survivors include his wife, Karen (Fidler) Hostetter; a son, Brent (Charmaine) Hostetter of Lyons; two grandsons, Robbie (Whitney) Hostetter of Bloomfield and Levi Hostetter (friend, Miranda Dupire) of Lyons; two great-granddaughters, Farrah and Penny Hostetter; two brothers: Elmer (Marilyn) Hostetter and Kenny (Sherri) Hostetter, both of Lyons; and two sisters, Naomi Kayton of Carmel and Lois (John) Brown of Odon. Also surviving are 19 nieces and nephews and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, January 29, 2014, at 11:00 AM at the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel with Rev. Rose Sparks officiating. Interment will follow in the Marco Cemetery in Marco, IN.

Friends may call at Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton from 4:00 to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, January 28th, 2014, and from 9:00 AM until the hour of service at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, January 29th.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Marco United Methodist Church or the Lyons Community Food Pantry as requested by the family. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
