Concepcion 'Connie' Alonso Brinson, 83, of Belleville, Illinois, formerly of Lyons, Indiana, went to Heaven peacefully on Saturday, March 28, 2015. She was born in Cueta, Spain on February 17, 1932 to Jose Alonso and Concepcion Oliva. Connie married Steven J. Brinson on March 15, 1970 in Rota, Spain.

Connie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She enjoyed being a homemaker and taking care of her family. Connie was a member of the Lyons Community Church.

Connie is survived by: her loving husband, Steven J. Brinson; daughter: Africa (Randal) Bender; son, Jose Antonio Brinson, both of Belleville, IL; six grandchildren, Africa (Michael) McCoy, Adrian (Carrie) Pyle, Joshua, Ryan, Kayla and Jordan Brinson; great-grandson, Abram Pyle; two brothers, Angel and Vicente Alonso; several nieces and nephews in Spain and Pennsylvania; sister-in-law, Eva Chrisman and very dear friends, Arlene and Kevin Theroff.

Preceding Connie in death are: her parents; grandson, Richard Pyle; four brothers; four sisters and her in-laws, Richard and Kate Brinson.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 4, 2015 at the Lyons Community Church with Rev. Larry Weaver officiating. Connie will be laid to rest in the Sandborn Cemetery in Sandborn, Indiana.

Family and friends may call at the church from 10:00 AM until the hour of service at 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 4.

The family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the Lyons Community Church, PO Box 155, Lyons, IN 47443. Envelopes will be available at the church.
