Dallas D. Hartsburg, 59, of Sandborn, IN, passed away Wed., Feb. 25, 2015, at his residence. He was born in Linton, IN, on Dec. 9, 1955, to Delmar Carl and Marjorie Ruth (Buck) Hartsburg.

Dallas was a custodian and nick-named Dalleo by his friends.  He was an avid gardener who shared his harvest with the entire community.  His humble spirit was evident in the many hours he spent helping others and the community.  Dallas truly enjoyed playing Euchre with his friends at the Blue Jay Junction and will be sorely missed.

Survivors include three brothers: Dan (Judy) Hartsburg of OK, Dean Hartsburg of IA, Doug Hartsburg of IL; a sister, Darlene (Mike) Newlan of IA; and 10 nieces and nephews.

Dallas was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Richard C. Hartsburg, and a nephew, Steve Hartsburg.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Anderson-Poindexter Funeral Home in memory of Dallas.

A memorial service will be held on Tues., March 3, 2015, at the Sandborn Baptist Church in Sandborn at 2:30 PM. There will be a gathering of friends from 1:00 PM until the time of the memorial service.  The Hartsburg Family has entrusted these arrangements to James W. Meng and the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton.
