Darleen Jean Goodman, 81, of Linton, Indiana, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 in Jasonville, Indiana. She was born on July 20, 1935 in Brazil, Indiana to Joseph Frank and Margaret Ellen (Hudson) Chamberlain. She married Ronald L. Goodman on September 27, 1953.
Darleen was a member of the Linton First Christian Church. She was a homemaker and she also owned Tot-Ta-Teen Clothing and Goodman Saddlery for several years. Darleen enjoyed outdoor activities, her family, camping, horseback riding, sewing and dancing.
Survivors include: one son, David Joe Goodman of Sullivan; one daughter, Robin Ellen (Bill) Wilkins of Linton; grandchildren, Shane (Crystal) Wilkins, Kaysi (Ed) Brunton, Nichole (Jared) Lee, Brock (Sarah) Goodman, Dayne (Brianne) Goodman and Derrick (Jill) Goodman; seven great-grandchildren; six brothers, Ted (Darlene) Chamberlain of Craig, CO, Larry (Anita) Chamberlain of Avon, Garry (Sherri) Chamberlain of New Castle, Fred (Shirley) Chamberlain of Linton, Tony Chamberlain of Lakeland, FL and Richard (JoAnn) Chamberlain of Terre Haute and a brother-in-law, Bob Godman of Nashville, IN.
Darleen was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, Ronald Goodman on September 6, 2003; three brothers, Jackie, Ted Joe and Larry Chamberlain; one sister, Barbara 'Bobbie' Godman and a sister-in-law, Jean Chamberlain.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM on Monday, February 13, 2017 at Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton with Bro. Nick Moore officiating. Darleen will be laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery in Linton.
Family and friends may call from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Sunday, February 12 and from 9:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM on Monday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association in memory of Darleen. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
