David D. 'Tree Dog' White, 71, of Linton, Indiana, passed away at his residence on Sunday, January 11th, 2015 with his family by his side. He was born in Linton on October 15, 1943 to William David and Della Mae (Reed) White. David married his sweetheart, Orda Elizabeth Griffith on October 10th, 1964.

David worked as a laborer before retiring in 1986. He enjoyed coon hunting, fishing and playing basketball.

Survivors include: his wife, Orda White; two sons, Steven (Rita) White and Troy White, both of Linton; daughters, Patty (Edward) Pineda and Becky (Juan) Nicolas, both of Terre Haute; eleven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brother, Jeryl (Wilma) White and sister, Beth Parsons, both of Martinsville.

David was preceded in death by: his parents; two sons, infant Timmie White and 18 year old Todd Alan White (March 17, 2005) and one sister, Anita White.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 11:00 AM on Thursday, January 15th, 2015 at the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel with Rev. Arlice Roberts officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Lyons.

Family and friends may call at Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, January 14th and from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM on Thursday, January 15th.

The family has requested that memorial contributions be made in memory of David to the American Kidney Foundation. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
