Debs W. Sloan, 98, of Linton, Indiana, passed away Saturday, October 2, 2010, at his residence. He was born September 7, 1912, to John and Zora (Bennett) Sloan. He married Dollis (Moss) and they had one son and 2 daughters.

Debs was a painting contractor and had retired in 1993.

Survivors include two daughters: Deloris L. Sloan and Donetta (Ronnie) Hollingsworth both of Linton; 5 grandchildren: Donnie (Teresa) Sloan, Monty (Robin) Sloan, Ronnie Gene (Misty) Hollingsworth, Debbie (Jay Stallings) Hollingsworth, and Michael Hollingsworth; 8 great.-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

Debs was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Dollis of 65 yrs., one son, Donnie Sloan, one brother, and three sisters.

There will be no visitation. A Graveside service is scheduled for 10:00 AM at the Fairview Cemetery in Linton on Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2010, with Rev. Dick Smith officiating.

Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
