Della Bell (Bray) Troup, 99, the daughter of the late Wesley Jefferson and Carrie Emerson (Allen) Bray passed away on Thursday, April 10, 2014. Della was born on December 10, 1914 in Sandborn, Indiana. She resided in Riverdale, Maryland, for 75 years.
Della enjoyed a long happy life with many experiences. Caring for her home and family was her passion. In addition to being an active member of the New Carrollton Bible Church, Della enjoyed gardening, reading, watching sports, and going out to eat with family and friends. Caring for others came naturally with Della, one of nine children, she grew up helping with farm chores and caring for her ailing mother in Sandborn, Indiana.
Della leaves behind three children: Delores Estelle Howe (Doug) of Missouri; Walter Jefferson (Linda) of Millersville, MD and Wesley Elliot (Kay) of Riverdale, MD; three grandchildren, Katie Lynn Lucas Reaves, Andrew Elliot Troup and Wesley Jefferson Troup; three step grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, Joe Lucas, Jessica Troup, Allison Troup, Dixie Reaves and Mason Troup. She also leaves behind numerous loving relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to an organization of choice or the Mandrin Inpatient Care Center. The family wishes to thank all of those who cared for her during the last few weeks.
