Obituary

Dixie J. Glenn, 71, of Linton, Indiana, passed away Friday, May 1, 2009, at her residence. She was born in Hymera, Indiana, to Richard and Kathleen (Duckworth) Harrison on January 22, 1938. On May 6, 1967, she married Ray Glenn.

Dixie was most recently a homemaker. She had worked as a cook for The Grill for 13 years and retired in 1993. She was a member of The Church of God of the Prophecy in Howesville, IN; and served our great nation while in the US Army with the Womens Army Corps during the Korean War.

Survivors include her husband, Ray Glenn; two sons, Timothy (Paula) Glenn of St. Joe, MO, and Shawn Glenn of Linton, IN; a daughter, Rhoda (Peter) Rogers of Linton, IN; three grandchildren: Justin, Amanda, and Jason; and 4 great grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers: Harold Arvid Harrison of Coalmont, IN and George Robert Harrison of Lewis, IN; and one sister, Rita Kay Bose of Merom, IN.

Dixie was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Kenny Richard Harrison and one sister, Marjorie J. Keller.

The funeral service will be at 1:00 PM Tuesday, May 5, 2009, at the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel with Rev. Larry J. Goodman officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Linton with Military Graveside Rites.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, May 4, 2009, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, May 5th, 2009, from 9:00 AM until the hour of service.
