Dolores R. Smith, 86, of Linton, IN, passed away Friday, October 26, 2012 in Terre Haute, IN. She was born July 24, 1926 in Linton, the daughter of William and Beulah (Taylor) Rader. Dolores married Virgil R. Smith on October 5, 1994.

Dolores was a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses Sullivan Congregation and was a worker in the housekeeping department of the Greene County General Hospital. She was a graduate from Linton High School "Class of 1944". Dolores's hobbies include Crocheting and spending time with her family and enjoying many family functions.

Survivors include; one son, Michael (Melanie) Goodman of Linton; one daughter, Connie Girten of Terre Haute; one brother, William Norman (Geraldine) Rader of Louisville, KY; one sister, Carolyn Jones of Washington, IN; five grandchildren, Steve (Stacy) Ford, Thomas Ford, Cynthia (Joe) Carroll, Nathan Goodman and Sarah (Chris Williams) Goodman; seven great-grandchildren, Jaimie, John, Gabrielle, Allison, Rachel, Ryan and Maxwell.

Dolores was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one sister, Lenore Royer; one brother-in-law, Dale Jones.

Friends may call at Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Sunday, October 28, 2012 and from 9:00 AM until the hour of service on Monday. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM on Monday, October 29, 2012, at Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel with an Elder of the Kingdom Hall officiating. Interment will follow at IOOF Cemetery in Carlisle, IN.

The family has entrusted the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton with these arrangements.
