Donald 'Don' L. Bedwell, 81, of Linton, IN passed away on Friday, October 23, 2009 at Regional Hospital in Terre Haute, IN. He was born in Sullivan, IN, on December 14, 1927 to John Emery and Carrie Lucida (Goodman) Bedwell. Don married Iris A. (Maddison) Bedwell on October 19, 1944.

Don was manager for Blue Flame LP Gas Co. for several years before being made Gas Supt. for the City of Linton, where he retired in 1995. He was a former member of the Loyal Order of the Moose and BPO Elks #866.

Survivors include his children; son, Steve (Sherry) Bedwell, daughter, Paula (Dave) Hollingsworth, both of Linton, daughter, Donna (Joe) Chipman of Bloomfield. He had five grandchildren, Curt Hollingsworth, Doug and Cory Bedwell, Tracy Jacobson and Jennifer Cline and six great-grandchildren.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, infant brother and his wife Iris.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, October 27, 2009, at Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton at 1:00 PM with Rev. Don Reed officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairview Cemetery in Linton, IN.

Friends may call at Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton, IN from 4:00 to 8:00 PM on Monday, October 26, 2009, and from 9:00 AM until the hour of services on Tuesday, October 27.
