Donald F. Wright, 89, of Linton, IN, passed from this life Wednesday, January 27, 2010, at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, IN. He was born in Allen, Nebraska, on August 10, 1920, to Ollie and Eula (Piper) Wright. On February 4, 1949 he married Jamie (Usrey) Wright.

Don was the Owner/Operator of Wright Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Heating for nearly 40 years. He retired in 1985. He was a member of the Linton First Christian Church, Linton BPO Elks #866 and American Legion Post #22 for over 60 years. Don served in the US Army during World War II. He especially enjoyed traveling/camping with his wife and friends all over the US in their motor home.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Jamie Wright; a son, Ronald Joe Wright of Florida and a daughter, Sherri Lundy of Terre Haute, IN; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two step great-grandchildren; two nieces and one nephew.

Don was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Seth Wright.

The funeral service will take place Saturday, January 30th, 2010, at 11:00 AM with Warren Shake officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Linton, IN, with full Military Graveside Rites provided by American Legion Post #22 and VFW Post #7118.

Friends may call at the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, January 29, 2010. Visitation will continue from 9:00 AM until the hour of service on Saturday, January 30, 2010.
