Doris Towler, 86, of Linton, Indiana, passed away Monday, February 25, 2008, at her residence. Born in Saline, Michigan on July 18, 1921, she was the daughter of Alphonse and Minnie (Fuller) Schmid. She married Benjamin F. Towler on February 7, 1947.

She was a homemaker and attended the Church of God.

Survivors include two daughters, Jodie (Bob) Murphy of Ohio and Jackie (Joe) Marhofer of Pinckney, Michigan; one sister, Clara Keene of Linton; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Benjamin F. Towler, eight brothers and two sisters.

Graveside services will be held at Fairview Cemetery on Thursday, February 28, 2008, at 12:00 PM with Rev. Mike Roth officiating.
