Dorothy M. Beck, 89, of Odon, formerly of Linton, Indiana, went to Heaven peacefully on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at Washington, Indiana. She was born on November 17, 1927 in Pleasantville, Indiana to James William and Mary E. (Harbin) Bishop. She married Leonard Eugene Beck in 1948.

Dorothy was a member of the Pleasantville United Methodist Church, Order of Eastern Star Chapter #140 of Sandborn and the Greene County Home Extension Club. She enjoyed crocheting, crossword puzzles and cooking. Dorothy was a devoted homemaker, wife and mother. She loved taking care of her home and family.

Survivors include: one son, David (Denise) Beck of Linton; one daughter, Diana (Larry) Culkin of Franklin; six grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; one brother, James (Phyllis) Bishop of Farmersburg; two sisters, Irene Weesner of Elkhart and Evelyn (Ron) Hale of Sandborn.

Dorothy was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, Leonard Eugene Beck; one grandson, Isaiah Beck; two brothers, Norman and Leo Bishop.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton with Rev. Dwight Gould officiating. Dorothy will be laid to rest in Stafford Cemetery in Sandborn.

Family and friends may call from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday, April 14 and from 9:00 AM until the hour of service at 11:00 AM on Saturday at the funeral home.

The family has requested that memorial contributions be made to Stafford Cemetery. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
