Dorothy L. Howard, 93, of Indianapolis, IN, formerly of Sandborn, IN, passed away Monday morning, August 2, 2010. She was born in Elnora, IN, on October 18, 1916, to Curtis and Osia (Rader) Lynn. On May 20, 1936, she married Ira A. Howard.

Dorothy was a member of the Sandborn United Methodist Church in Sandborn and the Englewood Order of Eastern Star. She was a homemaker, loving Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister, and friend to all.

Survivors include two sons: James A. Howard of Fountaintown, IN, and Elmer C. Howard of Indianapolis, IN; three daughters: Marilyn Durham of Greenwood, IN, Beverly Wheeler of Indianapolis, IN, and Barbara Pate of Greenwood, IN,; eighteen Grandchildren, 37 Grt-Grandchildren, 25 Grt.-Grt.-Grandchildren, and a sister, Helen Andis of Texas.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three brothers and four sisters and two granddaughters.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 4, 2010, at the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel at 2:00 PM with Rev. Tom Anderson officiating. Interment will follow in the Prairie Chapel Cemetery in Lyons, IN.

Friends may call at the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton from 12:00 until the hour of service at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, August 4, 2010.
