E. Faye Underwood, 84, of Linton, passed away on Monday July 8, 2013 at the Sullivan County Community Hospital in Sullivan, Indiana. Faye was born on June 20, 1929 in Hartford, Kentucky to Dewy and Katie (Smith) Baize. Faye married Jack D. Underwood on January 29, 1949.

Faye attended the First Baptist Church in Linton. She was employed with the GC Murphy 5 and 10 Store and Kennedy's Shoe Store both of Linton. Faye later opened Faye's Closet which she operated for over twenty years.

She is survived by: her husband, Jack and one daughter, Kathy (Fred) Markle of Linton.

Faye was preceded in death by; her parents and one brother.

Private Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 12, 2013 in Fairview Cemetery in Linton with Pastor David Tyra officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Carnegie Heritage and Art Center of Greene County. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

The Underwood family has entrusted the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel with these arrangements.
