Edith M. Hill, 93, of Linton, Indiana, went peacefully to Heaven on Thursday, July 22, 2015 at Glenburn Nursing Home in Linton. She was born on September 1, 1921 in Pleasantville, Indiana to Archie L. and Teressa M. (Timmerman) Spencer. Edith married Harry L. Hill on January 12, 1946.

Edith was a member of the Linton First United Methodist Church. She spent her life as a homemaker taking care of her family. Edith enjoyed reading, sewing, traveling and camping.

Survivors include: one son, Spencer L. Hill of Linton; two grandsons, David L. Hill of Jasonville and Larry W. Hill of Linton; four great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren and one sister, Virginia (Jenny) Tribby of Columbus, GA.

Edith was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, Harry L. Hill and one brother, Ralph Spencer.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, July 27, 2015 at Anderson-Poindexter Dugger Chapel with Pastor Michael Irvine officiating. Edith will be laid to rest in the Dugger Cemetery.

Family and friends may call at the funeral home from 9:00 AM until the time of the service at 11:00 AM on Monday, July 27.
